In a win for commuters, Translink is promising to bring back a full timetable of bus services in coming weeks.
All of Logan’s services would resume December 12.
Translink claims Covid, along with a shortage of drivers, led to a reduced timetable.
“Translink’s delivery partners wound back some services earlier in the year, as Covid, seasonal illness and a difficulty in attracting and retaining staff made meeting normal demand difficult,” Translink said in a statement.
Head of Translink Sally Stannard said the reduced timetable had provided greater certainty for customers.
“We worked closely with the operators to minimise the impacts of the reduced services, but we were also cautious of returning services and then needing to take them away again,” Ms Stannard said.
“We are confident our delivery partners are now in a stronger position to return to our full timetable, and we will continue working with them and offering any support they require to help boost driver numbers.”
Ms Stannard said customers should check the Translink website and journey planner for the latest information on services.
Customers can also contact Translink’s 24/7 customer call centre on 13 12 30.
