LOGAN City Council has been biting the bullet and asking residents what they think of their services.
Every two years, council conducts a survey to determine how residents feel their council is performing.
And there’s provision for everyone to let them know at a rather long website address: logan.qld.gov.au/reports-and-publications/logan-listensresidents-survey.
“As the City of Logan’s population continues to grow, it’s important that services and facilities are delivered to a high standard,” the council’s governance lead Karen Murphy said.
The survey will be called “Logan Listens: Residents’ Survey” and will be conducted over coming weeks.
“When the community provides input into what we are doing well – but also not so well – my councillor colleagues and I can determine where best to allocate resources and attention,” Cr Murphy said.
“The Logan Listens survey gives us a unique insight into how satisfied people are with council and what is provided across the city.”
The 2022 survey will be conducted by Taverner Research Group. Aside from volunteer answers, a random selection of people will be contacted by phone and asked a series of questions.
“The methodology used gives us a reliable cross-section of the community, including people of various ages, genders and locations,” Cr Murphy said.
“Our ability to make decisions is only as good as the information we have in front of us, so I encourage people to take the time to answer the questions if phoned, or to complete the online survey.”
