Police have arrested a 37-year-old man who allegedly escaped from a ward at a Meadowbrook health facility, in the Logan District, on Friday night.
It will be alleged that around 8.15pm on August 12, a man broke out of the Armstrong Street facility and fled on foot.
The man was not in police custody at the time.
Following investigations, police arrested a 37-year-old Underwood man at Logan Central this morning.
He has subsequently been charged with one count each of escape by person in lawful custody, wilful damage, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing property suspected of being stolen.
He is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow (Wednesday August 17).
