$7000 to help fight MND

Loganholme people have embraced FightMND’s Big Freeze 8 campaign, raising more than $7,000 in just six weeks to help find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Coles Loganholme finished in the top three fundraising stores in the state, contributing to a record $8.6 million raised nationally for FightMND to help take their Big Freeze 8 tally to $19.8 million.

Money was raised from the sale of beanies and pork, and donations.

Coles Loganholme store support manager Katrina Whyte said she was blown away by the support of the local community.

“The store team is incredibly proud to finish the FightMND campaign as one of the top fundraising stores in the state thanks to the support of our customers,” she said.

“Our team members and customers definitely enjoyed watching our store manager Steve’s beard being shaved off after reaching our fundraising target early in the campaign.”
