5Fold is a not-for-profit charity in Yarrabilba giving to the community in various ways.
Its goal is to have individuals and families in Yarrabilba and surrounds feel supported and like they belong in their community.
There are five areas that 5Fold focus on: clothes, food, shelter, support and training.
To support this, 5Fold run services including Breakfast Club, Road Ready and Creative Kids Market among many others.
5Fold founder and managing director Melinda Hartley said 3500 meals were provided each week for Breakfast Club.
Ms Hartley said they give away 620 frozen meals each week, with emergency relief going up 290% in the past 12 months.
Other initiatives, such as Road Ready helped learner drivers reach their required hours, while the Creative Kids Markets taught children about financial services in a kid friendly way and helped them reach savings goals.
Recently, 5Fold was nominated for a Local Business Award in the Logan City area.
It has been nominated in the Outstanding Health Improvement Services category for their commitment to improving health, wellbeing and connection.
With the end of financial year approaching, 5Fold is having its End of Financial Year Appeal which you make a donation to.
Earlier this year, Ms Hartley was a finalist for the Community Advocate Award in the City of Logan People’s Excellence Awards.
