Beenleigh State High School continues to service the local community through the ideals of knowing ‘We Care, We are Responsible, We Achieve.’
Since 1963, learning environments have enabled students to connect and thrive, to belong and develop an understanding to how they contribute to society in a productive manner.

Beenleigh State high School is in the heart of the Beenleigh Town Centre.
Its journey starts from humble beginnings as a former farm that ran down to the banks of the Albert River, and the school community recognises this.
“Our region has witnessed tremendous change from a demographic, economic and industrial perspective,” a school representative said.
“While we embrace change and prepare our students in an ever-changing landscape, we acknowledge strong traditions of respecting difference in a caring, compassionate community.”
Academically, the school continues to deliver strong results and high expectations for students to achieve their goals.

The foundation of these results comes from dedicated staff who continue to embed currency of teaching expertise.
Our learning environments foster positive relationships between staff and students,” the school’s representative said.
“Through a collaborative approach we develop breadth and creativity to how we think.”
Adding rich depth to each student’s skillset is the school’s micro-credentialing program which helps each student build a learner profile on a digital platform to showcase their future ready skills as an individual.
Linking students to the world of work is core to the school’s motto of Semper Altiora (Aim Higher) and Beenleigh High delivers pathway programs of school-based traineeships and apprenticeships.
The senior schooling hub has over 150 students participating in a broad range of programs aimed at preparing students for the world of work.
STEAM and Sport Academy programs continue to uphold the school’s traditions of setting expectations and challenging students to build on their talents and skills at a higher level.
Former Beenleigh High students provide a rich source of support to the school in many and varied programs.
Past school captain Greg Hammel provides guidance and advice to students within our agriculture program.
Former senior student Allan Platten of Teys Australia provides school-based traineeships.
The school continues to seek innovative measures to engage students in their learning.
The ‘Operation Commando’ program is aimed at refocussing disengaged students, building self-confidence and esteem, resulting in a higher expectation of themselves – every student being catered for and seeing education as a component in life.
Caring is a core element to our school programs and the student council raises funds for a number of causes each year, such as homeless youth, Big Box Sleepout, youth brain cancer and especially working with McDonalds Beenleigh to support families in need with children in hospital.

Beenleigh State High is an exciting place for students to connect with purpose and to understand not only who they are, but what we can do to live a ‘life of choice, not chance.’
When students leave Beenleigh High they can stay in touch through the school’s ‘Link and Launch’ program that connects post-school students to the world of opportunity.
Please contact the school for any further information to understanding support programs in Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander education, hospitality, sport, cultural awareness and agriculture.
