Night works and road closures will continue this week along City Road in Beenleigh.
This would allow for the installation of a steel arbour structure across City Road, according to council updates, which would lead to lighting, coloured art discs and CCTV infrastructure.
Council has promised that access to businesses would be unimpeded and carparks would be maintained on the street.
Over the next two weeks, council would repair shopfront tiles, and would clean building facades and windows.
Work would continue on York St and John Lane, where shade discs similar to those in Beenleigh Town Square would be installed.
A new pedestrian crossing was expected to be finished by last Friday between John Lane and Beenleigh Town Square.
