Woodridge Queensland Day recognises unsung local heroes, the people who quietly make a real difference in our community every day.
This is your chance to give a shout-out to the people who don’t always get recognition but absolutely deserve it.
Think of the mates, neighbours, or colleagues who are always there to lend a hand, lift others up, or go out of their way to support the community without expecting anything in return.
Maybe it’s someone who:
- helps others through volunteering or mentoring
- supports young people in the community
- makes a difference in the lives of older people, carers, or people living with disability or health challenges
- contributes to keeping the community safe, supported, and connected
- gives their time to local schools, clubs, or community groups
- brings people together and celebrates cultural diversity and understanding
- works in or runs a local business that gives back to the community
- inspires others through sport, coaching, or encouraging participation.
These everyday actions are what make Woodridge such a strong and caring
community, and Queensland Day is the perfect time to recognise them.
By nominating someone, you’re not just putting their name forward for an
award, you’re showing appreciation, celebrating kindness, and helping
highlight the people who make Woodridge a better place to live.
Anyone who submits a nomination will also go into the draw to win a $100 gift
card.
Nominations are open until Saturday 6 June, so don’t miss your chance to
recognise someone who deserves it.
