Woman held at knife-point, group on run after break-ins, cops allege

Police are searching for a group of armed offenders who allegedly held a woman at knife-point during a series of break-ins across Logan and south Brisbane.

The break-ins began on Tuesday night, according to police, with the first occuring at a Carindale home where a white Hyundai Tucson and grey Lexus 300 were allegedly stolen.

“It is understood the vehicles were used in a burglary at an Oakwood Street address in Capalaba, between 6.30am and 7.30am, where various jewellery and electronics were stolen,” police said in a statement.

“The vehicles have then been linked to four break and enters at Eagleby, Underwood and Rochedale South between 7.45am and 9.15am, where the group was observed to be armed with knives and a crowbar.”

Detectives have also linked the group to a break-in at a home in Eight Mile Plains this morning at 8.30am.

“…where a woman was assaulted and threatened with a knife and crowbar before jewellery and a Honda HR-V were stolen,” police said.

“The woman was not physically injured.”

The white Hyundai was found abandoned at Slacks Creek at around 10am.

The Honda HR-V was found abandoned at Woodridge just after 9pm on Tuesday.

The grey Lexus remains outstanding.

Police investigations are continuing into the offences and police are appealing for anyone with information or relevant vision to come forward.
