A 39-year-old woman from Waterford West has died after being hit by a utility in the Fraser Coast.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Toogoom Cane Road and Pialba Burrum Road in Toogoom at around 6.25pm on Tuesday night.
According to police, a woman was reportedly hit by a GWM Cannon Ute.
”A 39-year-old Waterford West woman was treated at the scene for critical injuries,” police said in a statement.
“However, she was later declared deceased.”
The driver of the ute, a 31-year-old Eli Waters man, was physically uninjured and stopped at the scene to render assistance.
Anyone in the area at the time of the incident who may have dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.
Police are investigating.
