Winning grin at Springwood Mall

Santa has at least one thing in common with Springwood MP Mick de Brenni.

Both visited Springwood Mall – one to take free Christmas photos, the other to inspect the $16 million redevelopment.

Mr de Brenni congratulated the mall’s Kane Construction crew apprentices after they were awarded East Coast Apprentice of the Year.

While construction on the outside of Springwood Mall remains on track, inside free Santa photos are underway along with Christmas gift wrapping, and special treats from the local Lions Club.

Free photos must be booked online at springwoodmall.com.au.

Marketing Manager Donna O’Neill said gift wrapping would raise funds for Rochedale Springwood Lions Club through a gold coin donation.

“We are thrilled to support the community initiatives from the club, which will celebrate 50 years of support to the local community in 2022,” she said.

“The Rochedale Springwood Lions Club will also share its trailer raffle and Christmas cakes and puddings in the centre from December 19–22. These were so popular last year they sold out quickly.”

Ms O’Neill said Woolworths, Target and all specialty retailers remained open and fully accessible in the lead up to Christmas.

“Remember that many retailers will be open during extended Christmas shopping hours, so check with your favourite stores for this added convenience,” she said.
