LECNA market day
Logan East Community Neighbourhood Centre is hosting a market day this Saturday 11 November. Stock will feature hand crafted gift ideas, Caroles Garden, new t-shirt stock, bric-a-brac, preloved fashion, succulents and much more. This is LECNA’s final market day for the year. Organiser said to “bring your family, even bring your dog, there will be treats for them”. This runs from 8-11am.
Business networking breaky
Business Growth Connect are hosting their monthly networking breakfast event at Meadowbrook Golf Club this week. It is a place for like-minded business owners to get together to meet each other and their businesses. “We share experiences and help each other solve problems,” BGC said. The breaky is this Thursday 9 November, from 7.30-9am.
Twilight market
Head to the Beenleigh Historical Village & Museum this Saturday 11 November night for the first twilight Village Market. Find local handmade gifts, art, clothing, honey, jewellery, garden goodies, candles, ceramics, traditional woodwork and more. The Village Markert is held on the second Saturday of each month. The market will run from 4-9pm. Entry costs a gold coin donation per person. Call 33820608 to book a stall.
Dog river walk
Logan Houndies are having a community dog walk at Alexander Clark this Saturday 11 November, from 4.30-5.30pm. The group welcomes all owners and all breeds. All dogs must be on leads, and dogs with muzzles are welcome. The group will meet at the main carpark and start the walk just after 4.30pm. Search ‘Logan Houndies’ on Facebook.
Sell a Seat fundraiser
The Lions Club Springwood and the Ulysses Club Logan City branch have partnered to raise money for the Logan House Fire Support Network. To do so, pillion seats (for bikes, sidecars, canams) will be sold for $100 each at an auction day this Sunday 12 November, from 8am-3pm. The day will also include breakfast at Springwood Lions, and then a fun bike ride. Raffles and auctions will also be held throughout the day. Call 34572100 to book.
