Halloween party
Kids can jump into their scariest costumes for tonight’s (Tuesday 31 October) Everleigh Halloween Party. This is for all local families. Both kids and adults are encouraged to dress up in their “scariest and wildest costumes” for a chance to win the Best Dressed Competition. The night will include trick or tricking through Everleigh residential estate. Head to Leaf Park, Kessels Blvd at Greenbank at 5pm tonight.
Bazaar Markets
Distillery Road Market (DRM) Bazaar Markets are held on the first Thursday of each month, showcasing the region’s best food operators, makers, and artisans. Head to DRM this Thursday 2 November, from 4 – 8pm. There will be “a trove” of local artisans, makers, fresh produce growers and creators. Enjoy a sensory experience, showcasing live local music and a selection of local produce, handcrafted goods, arts, crafts, great coffee and plants.
The Screaming Jets
The Screaming Jets are heading to Beenleigh Tavern this Saturday 4 November to perform their latest album, Professional Misconduct. The new album pays homage to the band’s roots while showcasing their musical evolution. Their performance starts at 8pm. Tickets are $45.
BookFest
BookFest 2023 is for readers, writers and families. Locals book-lovers can meet published authors and discover new books, and kids can play in free activities or on the jumping castle. There will also be a lineup of food trucks. BookFest is on this Saturday 4 November, from 9am – 2pm at Bethania Community Centre.
Grant assist session
If you are an organisation or individual applying for a grant, head to a free grants assist session this Thursday 2 November. Held at Marsden Library, participants of this small group session can ask questions and work through their funding applications on the spot. It is presented by Logan City Council’s Community Grants team. Bookings required.
