Pickleball
The Rotary Club of Browns Plains runs pickleball games every Monday and Wednesday. New players are welcome, and all equipment is provided. Head to St Bernardine’s Primary School, Regents Park from 6:45-8:45pm. Cost is $8 per player. Contact 0418780772 to book your spot.
Garden club new spot
The Greenpark Garden Club meets on the third Monday of each month, from 9.30-11.30am. Guest speakers, trade tables, a competition table and morning tea are offered at the meetings. The club also organises monthly bus trips for members – the next one is on Monday 25 March to Fernvale and Gatton. A small annual membership fee applies. Meetings are at Kingdom Life Centre.
Ghost busting
Join local ghost busters from Transcendental Paranormal for a hands-on, interactive paranormal adventure at Beenleigh Cemetery on 22 March. From 7.30pm, the team will the grounds with investigative tools in hand, uncovering the stories of over 6000 burials. Limited tickets are avaliable. Contact admin@transcendentalparanormal.com.au
Seniors fun
Rochedale Springwood National Seniors has a new venue. The group now meets on the third Wednesday of the Month at the KP Centre, Cnr Chatswood Rd, Upper Lyndale St and Roselea St, Shailer Park. “We now have plenty of safe parking,” organisers said. Come along and meet other seniors for morning tea, socialising and a guest speaker. They hold bus trips on the fourth Wednesday of the month. All are welcome. Beenleigh lifestyle centre
Your Lifestyle Centre at Beenleigh (previously the Senior Citizens Club) now meets only on the first Thursday of each month. They previously met on the third Thursday of each month as well. All other times and prices are unchanged. Morning tea is 9.30am, concert is 10-11.30am, followed by a light lunch, trade table and raffles. Admission for members is $8, non-members is $10.
