Coffee with a cop

Woodridge police’s ‘coffee with a cop’ is a space for members of the local community to ask questions, discuss concerns and learn more about policing in the Logan District. It also provides police the opportunity to acknowledge any policing issues and address concerns in collaboration with the community. The next session will be held at Virgie’s Coffee and Filipino Pantry on Wednesday 13 December at 8.30am.

Christmas movie, markets and carols

This Friday 15 September the entire family can head to Kingston Butter Factory enjoy a movie night, shopping spree and free entertainment. From 5pm attendees can browse a range of gifts at the market, and then at 7pm watch The Grinch on the big screen. Freedom Train Choir will be singing Christmas carols in the Living Museum of Logan from 5.30-6.30pm.

Hope Centre Christmas carols

The Hope Centre Logan at Slacks Creek is hosting an “evening of joyous celebrations that has everything for the whole family” on Sunday 17 December. The evening will start with activities and food at 4pm, and carols will start at 5.30pm. This event is free. 440 Kingston Rd, Slacks Creek 4114.

First Nations performance.

Spend an evening learning about the ancient Aboriginal culture of Australia by enjoying a live performance of traditional dance and theatre. Afterward, get the chance to chat with the cast over a barbecue dinner. This evening is held on Saturday 16 December from 6.30-9pm at the Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum.

LECNA carols

Head tothe  Logan East Community Neighbourhood Centre this Friday 15 December for a “great night of food, activities and carols”. Organisers say guests will even be visited by Santa. The evening starts at 5.30pm and ends at 8pm. A free sausage sizzle will be avaliable. 55 Cinderella Drive, Springwood.
