School holiday movies
The Deadly Dash Cafe host a family movie event on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during the school holidays. This event includes dinner and a movie, and starts at 6:30pm. A gold coin donation is required. To reserve a spot, call 0731332239. Located at 8/2-8 Yalumba St, Kingston.
Tree planting
The Slacks Creek Catchment Restoration Group are hosting a tree planting event on Sunday 16 April. People of all ages are welcome. Morning tea and a barbecue will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring their own gloves if they have them, water, sunscreen, covered shoes and a hat. The planting will be in Riverdale Park from 8am-10am.
Imagination festival
A children’s festival will be held on Saturday 15 April. This event will aim to develop children’s minds in innovation, technology and creativity. Located at the Kingston Butter Factory from 9am-3pm, there will be rock climbing, Hot Wheels, puppet workshops, reptile shows, slime workshops, and a performance by CoComelon.
School holiday learning fun
Logan libraries are hosting school holiday programs until Sunday 16 April. Drumming tutorials, songwriting workshops, beekeeping information sessions, graphic novel tips and tricks, and drama lessons. Activities are for children aged 5-17. To book and learn more, visit loganlibraries.org.
Garden club
Greenpark Garden Club have their next meeting on Monday 17 April at Kingdom Life Centre. There will be a guest speaker and a plant competition. From at 9:30-11:30am, the club welcomes everyone. Those attending are invited to arrive early to have coffee, tea and a chat.
