Artists networking and mentoring

Logan Art Gallery is hosting a mentoring and networking event for local artists this Saturday 8 July. Attendess will be able to hear from Logan Art Gallery exhibiting artist Rachael Lee, 2023 Artwaves mentee Harrison Owen and Logan Art Gallery Coordinator Michael Wardell. They will discuss the opportunities, including funding, that are available to support career development in the industry. This event is free.

Kids literacy program

This is an early literacy programing aiming to promote the First 5 Forever key concepts – talk, sing, read, play, dance and move – for families with children aged two or over. This session is on at Greenbank Library on tomorrow (Wednesday 5 July) from 11-11.30am. Bookings are preferred. To book, and for more information, visit loganlibraries.org.

Chess and Games Group

Chess and Games Group is a free club for those hoping to meet like-minded people with a passion for chess or other games. The club meets every Wednesday 3-4pm at Beenleigh Library. This event is for ages eight and over. Primary school aged children need to be accompanied by a parent and/or carer. During school term only.

Senior Walking Football

Senior Walking Football is a group for people 60 years and over hoping to socialise and exercise. They meet every Tuesday at 8.30am at Slacks Creek Football Club, and finish the morning off with a coffee and a chat. The cost to play is $5 per game.
