A Waterford West man has been charged with 95 offences following a police investigation into alleged online child exploitation material.
Queensland Police said Townsville Child Abuse and Sexual Crimes Unit detectives identified the 21-year-old during investigations into online distribution activity.
Officers searched a Muchow Road property at Waterford West on 23 July and seized several digital devices.
The man was initially charged with 17 offences and remanded in custody.
Following forensic examination of the devices, police laid another 78 charges on 22 August, including offences relating to allegedly soliciting, distributing and possessing child exploitation material.
Police said the charges include 55 counts of distributing child exploitation material using a hidden network or anonymising service and 21 counts of soliciting child abuse material using a carriage service.
A woman at the Waterford West property was also arrested and charged with drug trafficking offences.
The man remains in custody and is due to reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on 16 October.
