Dog-parents in Greenbank will soon have access to boutique dog accessories as a new online business, Canine’s Tale, opens its doors.
Local Nina Van and her partner Robin started building their company during Covid lockdown, but their plans didn’t come into fruition until recently.
“We had the thought of maybe starting a business during lockdown… because lots of people would have dogs during Covid,” Ms Van said.
“We decided to launch this business so we can actually help rescue animals and people who might need extra money to help their pets.
“We just wanted to help out.”
In addition to dog accessories, Ms Van is also breaking into the pet photography market.
“We really wanted to do photography,” she said.
“It’s important for us to capture the story of each dog through our lens – it’s what sets us apart from other pet photographers.”
There are plans to open a physical store in the future, but until then, Canine Tale will continue to operate online.
