Two critical after caravan fire

A crime scene has been set up at Wilbur St, Logan Central, today after two people were critically burnt in a caravan fire overnight.

A man, 22, and a woman, 20, were taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries.

QAS medical director Dr Steve Rashford attended the incident along with multiple ambulance units.

He said both patients had to be significantly resuscitated at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

“Our thoughts are with the friends and families,” he said.

Police said emergency services attended the fire at about 11pm.

“A crime scene has been established and investigations into the cause of the fire is ongoing,” police said.
