It’s trash and treasure month in Logan at the Browns Plains market.
Held on 31 August at Waller Park, this monthly community market will be celebrating all things second-hand.
“We’re trying to get the community involved,” market founder Jo Thomas said.
“We’re allowing a lot more second-hand goods – people looking to clear out their winter wardrobe can just pop down in the morning and set up, a bit like a car-boot sale.
“We don’t do these all the time, but it is good to do one every now again.”
In addition to pre-loved sales, market-regulars will be returning to sell a variety of products, including toys, homewares, handbags, personal care, candles and hand-crafted items.
“We’re always looking for new and exciting stallholders,” Ms Thomas said.
“When you got to markets, you tend to see the same things at every market, so we’re trying to get a variety of new stalls in.”
The markets are held on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 8am – 1pm.
There will be food, drinks, face painting, live music, and a jumping castle.
