Time to launch for Gotta Love Logan

Gotta Love Logan is taking its next big step with an official launch event on 31 May, marking a new era for the community-driven initiative.

Founded by Kath De Leon, Gotta Love Logan has long been dedicated to showcasing the positive side of Logan, and now, with a structured direction as a social enterprise, it aims to support local businesses while giving back to the community.

Mrs De Leon said this milestone represents the growth and maturation of the initiative, which began as a grassroots movement but has now developed into a platform for community and business engagement.

“We’ve always been about pushing back on negativity and sharing the good stories about Logan,” Mrs De Leon said.

“But now, we have structure, direction, and the ability to raise funds and provide tangible benefits to the community.”

The centrepiece of this new phase is the Gotta Love Logan website and an accompanying app, designed to connect local businesses with the community.

Businesses can register on the website, select a package, and gain access to promotional opportunities while supporting local causes.

“Businesses that align with Gotta Love Logan not only get visibility but also contribute to community initiatives,” Mrs De Leon said.

“Through our app and social media, we highlight these businesses as ones that practice good corporate social responsibility. In turn, we encourage the community to support them.”

The app, still in its early stages, offers exclusive promotions, a points system for customers, and a QR code system where participating businesses can reward engagement.

Early adopters can receive three months free during the initial rollout.

“We’re offering an early bird deal for businesses who join now,” Mrs De Leon said.

“They can contact me for a code to access the platform at no cost for three months.”

The initiative also has a broader goal of keeping economic activity within Logan.

By encouraging local businesses to support each other and fostering consumer loyalty within the city, De Leon hopes to create a self-sustaining ecosystem.

“There are thousands of businesses in Logan, and if even a fraction of them join, it could mean significant reinvestment into the community,” she said.

“Even at the lowest membership tier of $25 a month, the potential for funding community projects is enormous.”

Despite her excitement, Mrs De Leon admits to feeling nervous about ensuring the platform gains traction.

“I know this will work, but the challenge is raising enough awareness and getting businesses to buy in,” she said.

“It needs that groundswell of support to truly make an impact.”

Looking ahead, Gotta Love Logan hopes to collaborate with schools, chambers of commerce, and local government initiatives, expanding its reach and potential benefits.

“This initiative belongs to the community,” Mrs De Leon said.

“If it grows as planned, we could even create jobs for marginalised residents, making a real difference in people’s lives.”

For businesses considering joining, Mrs De Leon encourages them to visit the website, explore the offerings, and reach out for a personal consultation.

“This isn’t just about e-commerce; it’s about building a stronger Logan together,” she said.

“If you believe in supporting local, this is an opportunity to be part of something bigger.”
