Thieves set business, stolen car on fire

Two people who stole a Porsche four weeks ago have set a Boronia Heights business on fire, police say.

They’ve then destroyed the Porsche they stole.

Police said that soon after after midnight (Sunday night, April 30), two people went to the business on Fedrick Street in Boronia Heights.

The used a hammer and metal bar to smash the front glass door and appeared to tip fuel through the hole and set it alight.

They left in a stolen Porsche which was located burnt out a short time later on Kadlunga Court.

The business suffered minor damage however the car was destroyed by the fire.

The Porsche was stolen on April 2 from a Jimboomba residence.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to contact police.
