Are these people nuts?
Why on earth would the New South Wales government allow the Sydney cricket test to go ahead with a crowd of 20,000 amid a pandemic outbreak?
It’s not just the risk of what might happen as a result of generating a crowd. It’s the message it sends to the people in the suburbs that it’s okay to hang around in large numbers.
On reflection, it makes me grateful that our own Premier has taken the tough stance she has on our borders.
Closing them at any sign of risk is what we, the people, want to see.
If that comes at the cost of big business, then so be it. Our health should remain our number one priority.
I for one would like to thank the Premier for the way she has handled border closures to date.
I feel all the safer for it.
J Williams,
Underwood.
