Beenleigh Historical Village’s Heritage Day Festival is back for another year.
Held on Saturday, 16 May, the free event celebrates Logan’s rich history with live demonstrations and activities showcasing what life was like in the 1800s.
Tiffany from the Beenleigh Historical Village events team said 500 people came along to the event in 2025, and this year she was expecting more than 700 attendees.
“It is important to showcase the history of the area as it shows how far
we have come and to see just how important Beenleigh was in the foundation
of the area,” she said.
“On the day, there will be historic demonstrations, Sugar Cane Javelin, a
small handmade market, performances, crafts, gallery exhibition, Infinteen
exhibition, reopening of Carter’s Boot Shop and much more.”
Tiffany said it was an experience for the whole family to enjoy.
“Everyone can learn something new about the past,” she said.
“We will have nearly all our demonstrations running, including our blacksmith, washing room (traditional laundry methods from the 1800s), old fire truck, wood chop, school (schooling from the 1800s) and the printshop, as well as farm animals.”
“All ticket sales are going towards the restoration of the heritage listed St Georges’ Church.”
There will also be food trucks, face painting for the kids and the cafe will be open as well as the art gallery.
Beenleigh Historical Village’s Heritage Day Festival will be held from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, 16 May.
