SPLASH! is a free and family-friendly event with a full-day community workshop session, and an afternoon of entertainment.
“Our community has the answers for how to achieve hopes and dreams for children in Logan,” representative Sarah-Jane Bennett said.
The event is on Friday October 14 at Griffith University Logan Campus, 68 University Drive, Meadowbrook, and promises to help shape a plan for making sure every child in Logan has the opportunity to shine, now and into the future.
The workshop is from 9am-4pm and will unveil data that shows what life is like for children aged 0-8 in Logan.
Free child activities and entertainment will be from 2pm-6pm and will include child-frendly activities and entertainment, including sports activities, music, arts and crafts.
Food will be provided by local food trucks, including a sausage sizzle, burgers and more. Free parking is available.
“We’ll be looking at what we already know works in Logan for every child to have every opportunity to be the very best they can be, and asking what we should do next,” Ms Bennett said.
