A Browns Plains woman who lobbed into the pub for a sneaky punt has walked away with more than $100,000.
The woman, who normally plays a 10-number game, accidentally put on an 8-number game.
In her haste, she used numbers she wasn’t used to. The game was wrong. And her shopping was on hold.
“I wasn’t even supposed to be there. I was meant to be out shopping, but I thought I’d pop in and put a ticket on,” she said.
“And I always play Keno Mega Millions, but by mistake, I put on this Keno Classic ticket. I’ve never done that before.
“I also mixed up my two sets of numbers that I always play. I swapped them around. It was all quite accidental. It was my fault, my stuff-up, but it worked.
“When I saw what happened, I just kept staring at the ticket. I couldn’t believe it.”
She said the money, won at Browns Plains Hotel, would go straight into the bank for a rainy day.
