This year marked the 35th anniversary of the Logan Business Distinction Awards and it was certainly a night to remember.
Taking out the win in the manufacturing and construction category was local business, snapfresh.
Celebrating 21 years in business, snapfresh is Australia’s leading manufacturer of readymade meals, delivering high quality, bespoke meal options for local and global customers.
“We are extremely honoured to have won this award. If you have ever flown on an international or domestic flight in Australia, chances are that you have consumed a meal manufactured right here in Logan,” head of retail Lou D’alessio said.
“At snapfresh we are proud to fly the flag for Logan on the international stage.
“Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, we were producing 20 million meals a year and primarily servicing international airlines.
“However, with the onset of the pandemic and our product demand dwindling, we pivoted and innovated as we navigated the impacts that Covid-19 had on the aviation industry,” Mr D’alessio said.
“Determined to survive, we took our products to previously unexplored non-aviation customers across hospitals, supermarkets, aged care, and correctional facilities – and we thrived.
“It is due to the determination and perseverance of our team that led to this success and enabled us to keep hundreds of team members employed – so this award win is for them.
“A special thank you to the local community, the Logan City Council, and our local members of both state and federal parliament for their continued support and encouragement.”
