Local detectives are investigating a series of break and enters at a Browns Plains shopping centre overnight.
Police said a group of people forced entry into the Browns Plains Road centre at around 2am on Wednesday.
“Once inside, the group smashed the display windows of a store and stole a quantity of jewellery before fleeing the scene in two vehicles, a dark-coloured SUV and a blue utility,” police said in a statement.
It is alleged that the same group broke into to a service station along the Pacific Motorway in Loganholme just over one hour later.
“They gained entry and stole a quantity of tobacco and cigarettes before fleeing,” police said.
“Investigations are underway.”
