Queensland police unearthed two cannabis farms in the last month, seizing over $60 million worth of weed and implicating a Logan man.
The second farm, which homed more than 13,000 cannabis plants valued at over $68 million, was discovered last week and may be linked to the same Vietnamese crime syndicate allegedly responsible for the first.
So far there have been seven grow farms discovered this year that were operated by Vietnamese organised crime.
The first bust this month resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old Boronia Heights man, who was charged with trafficking, possessing and supplying drugs.
Police said the properties were complexly designed, incorporating sophisticated “growth tunnels” and water pumps to grow the drugs.
