Rural ‘aura’ at Belivah farm estate

Thirty years ago, 58 Stubbin Street, Belivah was nothing but farmland.

Now, the 5000 sqm block has been turned into a family home with “country charm, and city convenience” inside an emerging intergenerational hotspot.

“The owners bought the block 30 years ago and took a bit of time to construct a very specific home, because they had their mother living with them and a couple of children,” sales agent Sean Johansson from Place Sunnybank said.

“So they built a home with two master bedrooms, which is unusual for that vintage.”

Now, the low-set home has multiple living areas, three bathrooms and five bedrooms.

The property is located inside the Rosemont Farm Estate – an exclusive area Mr Johansson said was highly sought after.

Like many of the other houses inside the estate, it is attracting intergenerational buyers.

“There is a real romance about Rosemont Farm Estate and it is evident when you talk to people who have really heartfelt intentions about buying something in there.”

He said some people waited “many years” to buy a property in the area.

“It’s a beautiful estate. It’s just got this aura.”

The estate itself, while flat, is surrounded by a small range of mountains.

Mr Johansson said the mountains framed the area nicely, particularly during sunrise and sunset, making it look picturesque.

The property is set to go to auction this month.

“The one thing that has been hard about pricing this property is that, in the last two years, there have only been six transactions in the Rosemont Farm Estate,” Mr Johansson said.

“Any other environment where there are similar acreage properties, the transactions are plentiful.”
