Road Safety Week in Queensland has begun, and Logan City Council is holding an expo to raise awareness.
The road safety expo will be held at Logan Central Plaza on Saturday 26 August, from 9am-12pm.
It will focus on the potential impacts of the fatal five: speeding, seat belts, drink/drug driving, fatigue and driver distraction.
Local police will be in attendance.
This week, council’s City Administration Centre in Logan Central and the Logan Entertainment Centre will be lit yellow for the cause.
Almost 300 people died on Queensland roads last year, and around 8000 were seriously injured.
