The community at Arcare Slacks Creek celebrated the Biggest Morning Tea and raised funds for Cancer Council recently.
From cakes and scones to pies and sausage rolls, residents enjoyed the feast while sipping their favourite cup of tea.
Slacks Creek’s Lifestyle Co-ordinator Tamara Hobden said there was a great atmosphere.
The dining and lounge rooms were decorated with Biggest Morning Tea banners and posters.
“We had a good turnout this year with many residents enjoying the morning tea and also raising awareness for Cancer Council,” Ms Hobden said.
“Many residents, families and team members have been affected by cancer in some way, so we organised the Biggest Morning Tea to show our support in some way.”
The lifestyle activities at Arcare Slacks Creek aim to support the residents’ wellbeing and to enable a sense of fulfilment and purpose through meaningful activities.
