Quilters host biennial show

BEENLEIGH Quilters Association Inc will host its biennial quilt show 2022 at Beenleigh showground, James St, on Friday and Saturday June 3-4.

Admission is $5 and doors will be open from 9am until 5pm on both days, with two halls to explore “for the price of one”.

Organisers say there will be quality quilts on display, and three raffle prizes. Traders’ tables will have new products and sewing notions, along with a table of handmade gifts.

On the stage, there will be a bed quilt show, and demonstrations of various quilting techniques.

The theme for the two days will be “Yo yo through time”, and tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available. Contact beenleighhq@hotmail.com.

Due to Covid, the show has been postponed twice, but will be supporting many charities again this year with the club’s sewn items and quilts.

“Beenleigh Quilters is a non-profit organisation which promotes the fellowship of quilting and other related crafts through the sharing of information and skills related to these crafts,” representative Judy Crosswell said.
