Postponed small-business event returns

A small-business expo postponed due to Cyclone Alfred has been rescheduled for this week.

The event, which is returning to the Twin Rivers Centre at Eagleby for the third time, is promised to boost relationships and expand entrepreneurial minds.

The expo is designed for small businesses, self-employed locals, and aspiring entrepreneurs to meet and engage with the community.

Those running the show, Enterprise and Training Company (ETC), are expecting 25 stallholders and upwards of 100 guests on the day.

Now running from 11am-2pm on 10 April, the expo will include:

  • networking opportunities – a place to meet other small business owners and industry professionals,
  • stalls showcasing local businesses and services,
  • presentations where attendees will hear from industry experts, entrepreneurs, supportive services, and those with success stories.

ETC claims relationships form the basis of “true success” for business owners.

“The ETC MySmallBiz Expos are your opportunity to establish new and meaningful connections that will support, encourage and empower you to succeed in 2025,” the organisation’s self-employment assistance program manager, Rachel Turner, said.
