POLICE are continuing to put together the pieces of a fire which tore through Underwood Officeworks during office hours.
In late August, the fire burned for almost 12 hours after people were evacuated from the store during a fire alarm.
Police have now released footage of a distinctive orange ute as they renew the appeal for witnesses and customers to come forward, as part of
ongoing investigations.
At around 8.40pm on Tuesday August 23, emergency services were called to the Officeworks store.
Nobody was injured and store staff were reportedly quick to enact the evacuation.
Officeworks management at the time said their customers and staff were their top priority.
Police said the fire was a mystery – although suspicious, unable to answer why someone would allegedly set alight a building with people inside.
The footage shows a man and woman entering an orange ute and as a result are calling for any witnesses who were in the vicinity – and any customers who were in the store – between 8:00pm and 8:40pm on Tuesday August 23, to come forward.
