A SPREE of police checks across Slacks Creek this week saw about 14 traffic infringement notices issued and multiple charges laid.
A Logan boy, 17, was charged and an unspecified vehicle impounded after he was allegedly “driving recklessly”.
Police allege the vehicle had a set of stolen registration plates attached.
The boy is due to appear at Beenleigh Childrens Court on 20 October.
The same day, two men, aged 19 and 22 from Springwood, were arrested after police allegedly found drugs like cannabis, MDMA and cocaine, and three knives in a car.
Both men are due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 20 October.
Police said the purpose of the two-day operation was to “target crime trends and deter further offences from being committed”.
“The results of this operation highlight the importance of proactive policing to ensure community safety and preventing criminal offences,” a statement read.
