A 48-year-old police sergeant will appear in court after he was allegedly caught drink driving while off duty.
Police have revealed in a statement that the man returned a BAC reading of 0.111% during a routine RBT at Slacks Creek on 3 September.
“The member has been stood down from operational duties,” the statement read.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct.
“This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”
The sergeant is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 18 September.
