Police seek mystery good samaritan

A good samaritan has come to the rescue of an 18-year-old woman who seems to have been at risk of attack in Beenleigh.

Initial information suggests an 18-year-old woman from Edens Landing was walking on Teys Road between 8-8.40pm when she was approached by a black van.

She told police a man exited the van and grabbed her by her hoodie, before releasing her because another car was approaching.

She said the man got back in the van and left.

The woman was not physically injured, and was driven home by a woman driving by who saw her on the side of the road looking distressed.

Police are asking the public for help to find both this woman so she can help with the investigation.

Police are also looking for the black van, which has been decribed as matte black in colour, with visible rust and other signs of deterioration.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or particularly anyone who may have dashcam vision or CCTV from Teys Road in Beenleigh or Wuraga Road in Holview between 8.10pm and 8.40pm on July 11, is asked to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
