Police hunt masked man after Woodridge car robbery

Police are searching for a masked man who threatened a 74-year-old Woodridge man with a knife before stealing his ute on Kingston Road.

Queensland Police said the man was stopped about 5.30am on Sunday 5 July by an unknown male wearing a balaclava and armed with a knife.

The masked man demanded the keys to the 74-year-old’s vehicle before fleeing in the ute.

The stolen vehicle is a red 2013 Nissan Navara dual cab with Queensland registration 927 TNR.

The 74-year-old man was not physically injured.

The Navara is listed on the Queensland Police Service stolen-vehicle database at the time of publication.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the robbery, has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, or believes they have seen the stolen ute to come forward.

People who locate the vehicle have been urged not to approach or intercept it.
