A man has allegedly released a poisonous cough mixture at an Eagleby shopping centre recently.
The man, 36, was charged after the incident at 1.15pm on Saturday June 19.
Police will allege that the man attended the Fryar Road shopping centre via the northern entry and released a noxious aerosol substance in the vicinity of a café and medical centre.
The substance caused six people to experience trouble breathing, resulting in a 54 year-old-woman being taken to hospital.
Subsequent investigations resulted in a search warrant being executed on Wednesday June 23 at a residence nearby on Fryar Road, where the Eagleby man was arrested.
The man has been charged with five counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count each of serious assault of a person over 60, administering poison with intent to harm, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils.
He is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 14.
