Opening doors and minds

The Baitul-Masroor Mosque at Stockleigh is holding an open day this Sunday 29 Oct for curious Logan residents to ask questions and learn about Islam.

The local imam, Mohammad Atae Rabbi Hadi, said the mosque was always open to the community.

“This is for people to come and ask questions,” Imam Hadi said.

“Anyone and everyone are most welcome.

“Whether its a normal day, or whether the larger community is experiencing stress, this mosque is always avaliable to help.”

He said the open day was a time to ask “any questions” and to dispel misconceptions about Islam.

“Bring your inquiries and an open mind.”

The open day will begin at 11am, and run until 3.30pm.

Lunch is provided.

The mosque address is: 1 Neville Rd, Stockleigh.
