A fresh-faced boy band straight out of Logan will grace locals with their Christmas cheer at the City of Logan Christmas Carols next week.
OnParr is a family quartet comprised of brothers Isaac, Elijah and Jacob Parr, and their cousin Caleb Parr.
They formed OnParr earlier this year, hoping to bridge their passions and talents.
“As a family we’ve always been quite creative,” Caleb said.
“One time we performed one song together, and we loved it.
“Since then, it’s been a dream – every day something cool, crazy or fun is happening – we all love it.”
OnParr will perform at the City of Logan Christmas Carols at the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct next Saturday 9 December from 2pm.
Jacob, the eldest of the group, won’t make it to the Carols due to other commitments.
But Caleb said the remaining three quarters of OnParr would still deliver.
“Us three boys have ramped it up and we’re really excited,” he said.
“We’re performing a range of Christmas songs at the carols.
“We’ve got one by The Jonas Brothers – where we lean into the boy band vibe – we’ve got a bit of humour in others.
“It’s going to be quite fun and light-hearted.”
Australia’s Got Talent and Eurovision alumnus Mitch Tambo, Choir of Hard Knocks founder Jonathan Welch, ex The Voice Australia contestant Danielle Matthews, and other local choirs and dance groups will perform at the Christmas show on Saturday.
A special Christmas-themed PAW Patrol performance, photos with Santa, free face painting and a colouring-in competition will be available for children, and a selection of food trucks will serve both savoury and sweet treats.
There will also be an on-stage Auslan interpreter, large-font and colourblind programs, a hearing loop and a dedicated quiet zone to ensure everyone can get involved.
The event will end with fireworks at 8pm.
Mayor Darren Power said the annual Christmas Carols was always a favourite in the community.
“It’s always fantastic to see the community come together at Christmas events across the city, including our annual carols, and get into the festive spirit,” Cr Power said.
Other carols events this month include:
