Member for Woodridge and state treasurer Cameron Dick will from January 3-16 be acting Premier. Mr Dick goes into the role while Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is on a beach holiday.

Plenty of action on the roads last weekend. In the early hours of Sunday morning, a car rolled over on Gilmore Road, Berrinba, hitting a tree. A woman was taken to hospital with a chest injury in a serious but stable condition. Also in the early hours, a driver crashed into a barrier on the M1 and was taken to Logan Hospital.

Anyone looking to cross the border into New South Wales will need a border pass declaration to return to Queensland. The state government is urging anyone with plans to visit Sydney for Christmas to reconsider plans, or face 14 days of quarantine before being allowed home.

Pop up RBT sites will be used all over the Logan area over the Christmas and New Year period. Parties, licensed premise carparks, bottle shops and local ‘rat runs’ through the suburbs are specifically being targeted leading into Christmas. Police said pop up sites also allowed for the identification and targeting of hoons gathering or travelling in groups.
