POLICE are urging migrant parents to seek help from the triple-P program website.
They say it is often difficult for parents who are relying on their children to interpret, “which then allows the child to create the narrative to suit themselves and do what ever they want”.
“Parents who were raised in another country are equipped with parental methods that were passed down to them by their parents that grew up in a country that would have completely different laws and regulations to Australia,” they said.
They said it could also be difficult for children who found English difficult to understand.
