A man driving a black 4WD with a martial arts academy logo has allegedly cut off another driver, punched him in the face four or five times and driven off.
The incident, on Miles Platting Road last Wednesday, happened about 3.30pm.
Police said a large man of Pacific Islander appearance got out of the 4WD and approached the driver of the Nissan who had also got out of his car.
The Nissan driver was punched four or five times in the face before the other man returned to his vehicle and drove off, they said.
The victim was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a precaution for a cut lip and bruising to the face.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has further information to contact police.
