Marsden alum and rugby giant selected for Dream Team

Marsden State High School alum Len Ikitau has secured a spot on the 2025 World Rugby Men’s 15s Dream Team.

The Dream Team is one of the most exclusive rugby teams globally, with only two players from Australia selected annually.

With 13 other spots divided between countries, South Africa (represented by 6 players), England (represented by 2 players), Ireland (represented by 1 player), New Zealand (represented by 2 players) and Scotland (represented by 1 player).

Wallabies captain Harry Wilson was also selected to represent Australia on the team.

Mr Ikitau currently plays as a centre for the Brumbies in Super Rugby and also represents Australia as a member of the Wallabies.

This year, he was awarded the John Eales Medal, the first centre player to receive the medal, which was introduced in 2002 to recognise the best Australian rugby union player each year.
