The relaxation of social distancing rules means previously postponed events are on their way back.
Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum markets are an example, returning for the first time in 2020 this coming Saturday.
The markets ask for a gold coin donation on entry, and stalls are being finalised.
Market coordinator Sandra Burley said families were invited to take their blankets, have a picnic morning tea, and enjoy the community atmosphere that the markets was able to encourage.
Beenleigh Historical Village is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers who are devoted to maintaining and conserving the region’s heritage.
“The educational village offers fun and immersive demonstrations and even interactive, hands-on experiences of life as it was for school students of all ages, across a number of curriculum area,” Ms Burley said.
“Tourists, seniors groups, vacation care programs and many other community groups enjoy our guided tours with local volunteers passionate about preserving a working knowledge of our local history and culture.
“Self guided tours are also available so you can take your own time, and enjoy the many original displays and collections.”
The markets run from 7am until 12.30pm on Saturday October 17. Phone 3382 0608.
