A man was shot while attempting to stop a break-in at Beenleigh overnight, with police yet to find those involved.
According to police, a group of offenders attempted to gain access to a Logan River Road business at around 9.55pm, before they were interrupted by a man and woman at the business.
“The offenders have then shot the man in the leg, before they fled the scene on foot,” a police statement said.
“Emergency services arrived a short time later, and the 51-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman, 51, was not injured.
A crime scene has been declared at the business and police are looking for those involved.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have any relevant information or CCTV/dashcam to come forward.
