A Cleveland woman, 33, has been charged following a fatal car crash, which killed a Wilsonton man, 78, in Forest Lake.
Just before 12pm on Boxing Day, police said they were called to a crash in the westbound lanes of the Logan Motorway in Forest Lake, where a blue Kia Cerato, stopped in an emergency bay, had been hit allegedly by a white Kia Cerato.
The driver of the blue Kia, the Wilsonton man, who police said was standing outside the car at the time of the crash, was killed.
Police declared the man dead at the scene, they said.
The driver of the white Kia, the Cleveland woman, was not injured, police said.
She is expected to appear in court to face charges of dangerous driving causing death, driving while under the influence, drug possession, and drug utensil possession on 12 February.
